"Without Grace" was written and directed by Matthew Cichella, a Rockford native.
The movie was filmed at several locations in Rockford from Sept. 21, 2019 through Oct. 20, 2019.
The locations include Saint Ambrogio Society, Hope and Anchor, Sheri's Place, Town Hall Lounge, Alpine Park and more.
More than 100 residents from the Rockford area will be featured in the film in some capacity, according to Cichella.
Cichella says due to the support of the community, the decision was made to hold the world premiere of the film in Rockford, rather than Los Angeles, where premieres are traditionally held.
"The Rockford community was beyond supportive," Cichella said in a statement. "There was never a doubt in my mind, we need to host the World Premiere in Rockford. This is a Hollywood caliber film made in Rockford, and I can't wait for everyone to see it."
